Abstract

|
It is essential to identify and localize the maxillary sinus septa in maxillary sinus lift procedure to prevent tearing of sinus mucosa. The variations and frequency of bony septa in the maxillary sinuses were studied prospectively by means of computed tomography. PATIENTS AND METHODS: The presence and morphology of the septa in the maxillary sinuses were studied in 80 non-selected adults. RESULTS: CT examinations of 160 maxillary sinuses were done.
